Andrew writes both feature and pilot scripts, mostly comedies in a genre world (horror and fantasy, especially). His animated pilot script Dead Arm was a semi-finalist in ISA’s Emerging Screenwriters 2023 Animated Screenplay Competition. Andrew is actively seeking representation in screenwriting.
DEAD ARM (30-minute animated pilot): “On an early 2000's midwestern summer day, two pre-teen sisters return from their local video rental store to find a zombie arm asleep in the woods behind a bizarro version of their familial home. With the help of deep horror movie knowledge and an ensemble of dreamy characters, the sisters embark on an adventure of heart-bending mysteries as they search for the truth of what’s happened to their home.”
WINGS (comedy/fantasy feature): “A young and unlikely hero stumbles upon a portal to another realm, where the truth of her small enchanted world unfolds like a leathery, monstrous pair of, well… wings.”
While working toward his MFA in Fairbanks, Alaska, Andrew also wrote and published poetry. His chapbook DAILIES was a finalist for the 2018 Peter Meinke Prize at YellowJacket Press.
